I recently opened a Professional Music Recording Studio and purchased one of these mixer boards for one of the Main mixers. My Lead Engineer and I were so pleased with the performance and reflexibility of the SX4882 that I purchased another one and also a smaller version of it. Now all of my Studio is Behringer equipped with amps, effects, and All. I wouldn't even think of paying all that extra money for a Mackie when the SX4882 does everything the Mackie does and more, and even Better. Behringer is OUT-Performing all the competition, and once again on the Rise Up!
As a musician and studio owner this mixer can't be beat for the price. It is very well constructed and is one of the quietest boards around. I love the built in meterbridge. Other companies sell the bridge as an option costing an additional several hundred dollars more. If you're looking for inputs and outputs you won't be dissapointed! Another thing I love is that you can link two of these babies together and double your options, for far less money than the competitors. Now.... if only they could add some onboard effects, that would be really sweet! My hats off to Behringer for such a great mixer. I highly recommend it.
AS owner/production director/engineer of a private studio, set up primarily for producing my own releases this mixer is a dream come true, with the 4 band EQ with two sweepable semi-parametric mids, 6 auxilliary send for driving 6 effects processors and having 12 returns for these processors is a dream leaving channels open to be used for what they are meant to be used for, The incorporation of the 24 channel sub B capability is a dream come true. I have reviewed this listing very thoroughly and I am going to have one of these in my songwriters workshop very soon so some top notch work can be more easily accomplished and certainly eliminates alot of patchbay size and dangers involved with oversights of mistakes that can be made in making wrong interface connections. With well over 25 years behind the boards, this mixer goes beyond any expectations that I have ever dreamed would be available in a low price ranged mixer. Distortion levels are inaudable. Just ad a 24 trk and mastering deck, some decent monitor speakers and headphones,we're ready to start rollin'. For live work one can set up to mike up an orchestra. I love it!
