This is going to be a short read. Short and to the point.

Many of you by now are familiar with the RNC, the famed FMR Compressor that has sold nearly 20,000 units to my knowledge. The philosophy is simple, the owners of FMR, Mark and Beth McQu...

Its almost harder to point out who should not get an RNP. Those who are using mixer and audio interface preamps, or the common preamps built in to a multi-track recorder stand to benefit the most from getting an RNP. The RNP also makes a nice secon...

The ultimate compliment for FMR Audio is that it has found a way to make top-quality products affordable, without compromising on the essentials. Underneath its utilitarian, no-frills appearance, the RNP 8380 is an impressively transparent, straight-...

Features
Stereo pre-amp, 1/3 of a rackspace wide, 1HE high.
Has only one knob and 2 buttons: Gain, polarity and phantom power.
3 LED's show if there's a signal, if it's -18DBvu and if the signal is clipping.
Has inserts on the back.

Has some colour to the sound, but the sound stays pretty neutral, and you will hear a lot of details.

------------

Value for money
It's pretty cheap for a stereo pre-amp, because the sound of it is just great. You can't hear that when you only record one track, but when you stack the tracks, you'll notice the sound will be clear, and not muddy and dull, like cheap pre-amps.

------------

Pros
- Excellent sound quality
- It's cheap compared to similar pre-amps
- It's easy to use
- Relatively uncoloured sound

------------

Cons
- It's not really pretty, but hey, it's all about the sound
- I dropped mine while a cable was in the mic-input, and now it's stuck forever. (But that's more my fault, I guess)

------------

Customer Support
Haven't had to deal with them.

------------

Overall
For the money it may be the best sounding pre-amp on the market for the money, if you're looking for a transparent sound. It has some colour to it, but in a good way.
