| Smell: Trademark aroma of sulphur and grain with a pinch of skunk. Taste: More crisp than smooth with an up front grain / husk flavour that is intermingled with a slightly twangy hop bitterness coupled by hints of sulphur and DMS (cooked veggies). There is an underlying malt sweetness in the middle yet fades quickly as soon as the finish kicks in with its dryness. Notes: Not a bad imported lager ... one of the top selling imports in the USA also. Though with a wide selection of Dutch lagers in the US now which are comparable if not better for a cheaper price. We have seen Heineken range from $18-$24 a case! | |
