| Peavey 410 TX cab with small center tweeter and an attenuator in the back for high/low balance. Bought it as an impulse buy one day from a pawn shop. Peavey has never failed me with PA speakers, so I decided that this cab was a safe bet. I use this unit as an external cab for my 300W Fender BXR 300C Bass combo amp. There are many who turn their noses at peavey, but until you can afford to blow $800 $900 on something that peavey sells for $200 or $300 why not give peavey a chance? Peavey has been around for years and knows what they're doing and keeps getting better as time progresses. I would recommend this 410 cab to anyone at all looking to reinforce their bass's tone and volume. | |

| To start, this is one heavy cabinet but well worth the weight. I added casters for transporting, but if you encounter stairs you will want some help lifting it. Now the good news, this is one great cabinet. If you noticed my age, I've used about everyting out there and this is about the best I've ever played with. I use both 4 & 5 strings active and passive, and it just keeps putting out clean tight lows and very crisp highs, the horn by the way a real horn with a robust attenuator, fits about any style. I can highly recomend this as one of the best out there, if you dont need quite this much cabinet there is alo a 210 version with the same quality as the big one I have both. Spec wise they both are rated 30Hz to about 16Hz thats more than enough range. Give one a try and happy lugging--its worth it. | |

| I bought this thing with a nitrobass head, and what a combination. The Cabinet is one powerful beast. It is unbelievably heavy, and casters arent standard, so your gonna have to pick up some. But i think all that extra weight, adds to the amazing deep end. Even with edens, swr's, or ampeg cabs, i dont think any of their 10's can beat this one. Plus, this is the only 4 by 10 cab i saw rated down to 30Hrz (30hrz is the same frequency as a low "b" on a 5 string). Most of the edens are rated 56Hrz or sumpthin like that. The cab is nice a punchy, but if u turn up the "low" on the equalizer, u can retain a wonderful, full sounding rich smooth sound, and it can handle a low b even at gigin' volume. I am very impressed with this cab, and in the future, the only thing i would add to it, is maybe an 8 ohm 2 by 10 on top, and an 8 ohm 15 on the bottom. Especially with the 15 black widow speaker. The only problem i had, is when i was unloading it from my van, i was standing on a slope, and couldnt keep my balance. I fell backwards on the sloped concrete, and the cab broke both of my legs. But it was worth it. lol If you can find one of these things, get it. They are a steal for the price, and the cab that you are getting. A solid, rugged, loud, smooth all round amazing cab. | |
