| From the buzz on the street, this is a great pedal. Pricey, but great. I’ve played lots of Pearl pedals in the past like the eliminator series and have to say that the quality is awesome on these pedals. Pearl has done a lot of research on this particular pedal and has built in full customization for the demanding drummer. This is top notch quality. | |

| In summary... I think Pearl hit a homerun with this pedal. The engineering is second to none, and it seems the pedal with last for many many years. The smoothness is pretty scary. They definitely put the right kind of ball bearings on this thing. Huge difference! There are tons of adjustments and combos of adjustments you can do. And the cool thing is, for the most part, everything is relatively quick and easy to adjust... and the multi-function drum key is the reason why! It's a regular drum key with 2 different sized allen keys to fit all of the screws on the pedal (it's the tool on my snare drum in the 3rd picture above). Pearl should start selling that key by itself! Feel free to ask any other questions! I hope this helped! | |

| Pros: Sets a new benchmark in adaptability and precision. Amazing looks. Cons: Endless options = scary price tag. Verdict: As each new generation emerges, with increasingly accurate skills, gear must keep pace. The Demon pedal is Pearl's comprehensive response to that challenge – adaptable, precise and mightily impressive - just be absolutely sure that direct drive really is the salvation you're looking for before shelling out. | |

| Pros: Nearly infinitely customizable settings Both a short and long board pedal Easy to adjust Comes with nice carry case Cons: Hefty price tag may deter buyers Takes time to get used to the direct drive, the speed, and the control of the pedal Essentially rips off of the ideas of other competitors (executes them better though) Final Verdict: Try the pedal before you buy it because it has a VERY different feel than pedals that you are probably used to, especially if this is your first direct link pedal or even your first double bass pedal | |
