| Quality: 8 Well, what can I say??? This thing is solid. Rackmountable in one space, metal housing. One thing that I think is probably easily overlooked is the "click knobs". That is to say that the gain and volume knobs click into positions. This is nice so that gain levels can be click off from the extremes for accurate re-setting of previous gain settings. Also, the 3 LED's for -40, -6, and -0 dB are very convenient for ballparking the gain. One of the biggest bashes with other PreSonus interfaces has been the Phantom power switch. Instead of switching for every 4 channels, the Firesudio Project switches on for every two channels. You can run 4 separate stereo mixes. SPDIF and MIDI in and out is nice. I am sure there are better units out threre, but from me, this is all I need. Reliability: 10 No known reliability issues. Overall Rating: 8 Great overall unit! I like the ability to be able to link a couple together if I really need the more inputs. | |

| Pros: - Highly affordable. - Decent audio quality, with plenty of gain available on the preamps. - Internal power supply. Cons: - Only one headphone output. - Not expandable at present. Summary: If you want to record up to eight mics at once, this is the most affordable way of doing it, and it sounds good too. | |
